This beautiful wedding day was a wonderful example of elegant York House Richmond wedding photography, with a ceremony in the stunning Salon at York House.

Richmond is one of the most beautiful places in London for a wedding, and this day was a perfect example of how magical a Richmond wedding can be – even with a little rain.

The day started at the elegant Richmond Hill Hotel where the bride got ready with her bridesmaids. Bridal prep was relaxed and joyful, with champagne flowing while the makeup artist and hairstylist created the final wedding look. One of the great advantages of this venue is that the groom and his groomsmen were getting ready on the other side of the hotel, making it easy to photograph both preparations before the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony took place at the beautiful York House in Richmond upon Thames. The couple exchanged their vows in the elegant Salon room, surrounded by their closest family and friends. After the ceremony, guests moved to the stunning Winter Garden for drinks and congratulations.

Just as everyone stepped out onto the terrace overlooking the gardens, the rain started pouring. But instead of letting the weather change the mood, the venue kindly allowed the couple to have their confetti moment inside the Winter Garden. It turned out to be an unforgettable moment — colourful confetti filling the room, guests cheering, and everyone laughing together. Sometimes the unexpected moments create the most beautiful memories.

Once the rain eased, we stepped outside for couple portraits in the gardens of York House. The historic building and the surrounding gardens create a perfect setting for romantic Richmond wedding photography, and the soft light after the rain made everything feel even more special.

The celebrations continued at Le Salon Privé where the wedding breakfast took place. Guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches, the cake cutting, and the couple’s first dance before the evening party began.
